Struts 2 the complete reference is planned, but isn't due out until December 24, 2007.

I don't know if there is a Struts 2 version of Professional Jakarta Struts planned or not, but I am quite certain that no such edition currently exists.

Good find, Animesh. The author's name is Ian Roughley, though, not Ians Roughley. It looks like this book can be downloaded for free. here is the link:

http://www.infoq.com/minibooks/starting-struts2

He also has some online tutorials avaialbe here:

http://struts.apache.org/2.x/docs/tutorials.html

Amazon.com shows a book: Practical Apache Struts 2 Web 2.0 Projects (Practical Projects) by Ian Roughley, but it's not out until November.

I've read Ians starting-struts2 book but I don't think it is much of a help, not for me anyway. It's a beginners book but it doesn't give any example on how to implement things in a real world application. Sorry, this is the first time I'm complaining about a book really.

Yes, this book is aimed at beginners with introductory material and pointers on how things can be done for further investigation. With only 100 pgs, there is only so much you can do

There are several in-depth books coming out, I have one, Don Brown is involved with another, and I think Ted may also be on the list.

I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you - Fred Rogers. Tiny ad:
