Fast-paced HTML & CSS book?

I'm studying programming in my 2-year education, we study mainly Java, but later we'll cover HTML, CSS, Javascript, some other stuff.

I'm looking for a fast paced book on HTML and CSS. Ideally, I would like it to be around 250-350 pages, but no more than 400. For javascript I intend to order "Javascript - the good parts", which got really good reviews. I already know some HTML, and I have tested a little css. So it doesn't have to be verbose.

I have already googled, but come up with no satisfactory results. There is a book called something like "HTML and CSS the good parts", but I'm doubtful after reading some of its reviews.

Anyone who have read a good book that fit my description?

Dont know of an appropriate book but www.w3schools.com is an amazing website to study html, css and js.

Actually, it's amazingly bad! Avoid it if you want to learn how things really work. See http://w3fools.com/.

In the end I ordered "Building Your Website The Right Way Using HTML and CSS" http://www.amazon.com/Build-Your-Website-Right-Using/dp/0987090852

Unfortunately it did not meet size requirements, but I was impressed by the reviews of previous editions so I felt it was worth to invest in.

I had never heard of http://w3fools.com/ until today

I like the try-it-yourself editor in w3schools that helps understand the functionality better. And the website really comes in handy at times.
