Hello,

I started reading SCJP 6 book by Kathy Sierra. This is my second run. I have been programming in Java at my Job (1.5 yrs) and also have used it through the college, but for some reasons I am not scoring well(not for all chapters) in the test given at the back of each chapter in the book. I am really concerned over this and is kinda demoralizing.

Suggestions anybody?

Thanks.

Welcome to the Ranch.
You might want to analyze, why you are not scoring well. Do you have problem understanding the concept? Do you have problem in implementing the solution? Getting these answers would be a good start point.

I understand the concepts well. It is the small details which I find hard to recollect when I try to apply the concepts/rules.

Is there any other book that I should be reading besides Kathy Sierra book to prepare for the exam? Also, are there any websites available where I can take mock exams?

Thanks for the reply.

If you are sitting the exam, I think I ought to move this discussion to the SCJP forum.
