I have data in a binary file (Safari 5.1 browser cookie file).
The OS is Windows 7, 64 bit.

I can see the following set of data in a hex editor: 00 00 00 88 DF E8 B4 41
This data converts to a date field. A Safari browser utility shows this field as: 13-Feb-2012 06:54:06 GMT

I'd like to know how this hex to date conversion happened - in Java.

Consider Paul's rocket mass heater.
