I am migrating an IceFaces application from 1.8 to 3.0 (stable release from version 2.1beta) and am having many difficulties to display error information from the server.
The error info I use to see is a stackTrace with the exception thrown when building the DOM representation of the model, and there the .xhtml file and line are specified to point to the error.
Now I am not getting that information even if trying to reproduce an error by explicitly forcing a facelets file to be uncorrectly formed. Not even in the server log.
I have thought of debugging with sources to try to see the mistake. But first I would like to ask you if you think this is the best approach, or perhaps you know a setting or parameter I could define in web/context.xml which I might be missing.
I am developing with the provider framework for NetBeans 7.0.x. So config files are arranged automatically when creating the project.
In case debugging with sources is the easiest approach, do you know at which class I should be pointing to? Because I don't know if the server at all will automatically launch the exception given the above explained.
