hi

i need to send data on the server to generate an excel file on the server and after download it to the client.

i have some structure of object to send to be able to generate the excel file.

i read i need to create a servet to be able to download the file, an anchor need to be added to the client site.

my problem is how to send structured object to the servlet?
maybe there is another way to do it?

thanks

If your POJO is serializable, you can open a stream and read/write the POJO to it. An example can be found here https://coderanch.com/t/502491/Streams/java/Calling-servlet-Java-Class-receiving
