I recently got the 3rd Edition of the book "Core JavaServer Faces", and I'm trying to get the first example in chapter 1 to work, but I'm having problems with listing 1-3. When I try and compile it, the compiler can't find:

javax.inject.Named and javax.enterprise.context.SessionScoped

nor alternatively:

javax.faces.bean.ManagedBean and javax.enterprise.context.SessionScoped

I have Java 1.7 which I downloaded a few weeks ago, and JBoss-6.0.0.Final which I downloaded last summer.

The book uses Tomcat and Glassfish, and perhaps the latter has the files containing those classes.

If I replaced JBoss 6 by the newer Jboss 7, would this solve the problem, and if not, where can I find the missing classes?

JBoss 6 works with the very simple example at , and I would be most grateful if someone could kindly help me get this problem solved.
