Hi,

I dont know if this is the right forum to post a question about iText API. I coudn't find any relevant forum for iText to post in, so I am posting here.

I am unable to display Japanese currency symbol 'Yen' in my pdf using iText 3.0 jar. I am currently using Adobe reader 7.0.0 to view the pdf. Here is the code snippet im using to display value,

DecimalFormat df = (DecimalFormat) NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance("ja_JP");
String finalValue = df.format("¥1,000");
PdfPCell cell = new PdfPCell(new Paragraph(finalValue, font));

Euro, Pound, Dollar and some other symbols were displayed fine. But for Yen it just shows a number without any currency symbol.

I tried using Java source code "\u00A5" and it is displaying Yen symbol properly in pdf. So, i guess there is a problem with the way i use iText libraries. Please help me with this.

Regards,
Phani

I was meaning that may be a better place to post your question, it is pretty specific.
