i need help on how to make a jar file from my source code in netbeans IDE and how to make the file an installable application

Do you mean a JAR containing your source code, or do you mean packaging your application as a JAR?

As far as installation, which OS(es) are you targeting? And how closely do you want to conform to the installation standards for that OS? You might also look into InstallShield and similar apps that provide cross-platform installers.
