Not sure if this answers the question: https://coderanch.com/how-to/java/SaloonTitle
I don't think it really means much. Only that you either ask too many questions, or answer too many of them

This is why you are a Marshal and I'm just a mere Ranch Hand...

Hey Jeff,

Thank you so much for the link !

I totally agree, if you don't have something right to say, don't say it at all.

kind regards,

marius

I disagree. Much of the content on the ranch is provided by people who know some of the answer, then someone else provides a little more information, and so on ...

The extreme would be that nobody would post unless they had 100% proof that they were correct (and the internet would be an empty ghost town).

Koen - please keep posting!

if everybody here posted a little piece of wrong information, like the wrong link here, I'm more than sure this site wouldn't benefit either of us.

how could anybody give credit to somebody who gives him a wrong link ? and what would happen to if everybody would speak their minds without clearly understand what is the question.

I really do appreciate the intent to help, but let's take a little more time to think.

You're overreacting. Ever heard of typo?

Not only are you overreacting, but also mistaken.
If people supply something with a typo (as in the previous post), that can easily be corrected. What is more difficult to correct is people’s misconceptions. And there are lots of misconceptions round here, believe me! One learns more by exposing misconceptions and having them challenged than by hiding them because one is not 100% sure. Far better to have the misconceptions here than in some piece of code where they can do real harm.

You mean like when you spoke your mind without properly understanding Bear's comment about the bad link?

I really do appreciate the intent to help, but let's take a little more time to think.

You mean like when you were thinking when you called Bear "Jeff"?
