I haven't read the book named Murach's HTML5 and CSS3.Does the book just cover HTML5 and CSS? What about JavaScript and the previous HTML,such as basic HTML4 and CSS2?

It doesn't show how to do deprecated things. But it does show HTML and CSS from scratch so the relevant concepts/syntax is in the book from older versions.

We cover HTML5 and CSS3...deprecated features are not covered in depth but are mentioned here and there so the reader gets an idea of what certain features used to be used for and why it's now better in HTML5/CSS3. JavaScript is only introduced, not covered with any sort of depth. We left the JavaScript content for the Murach's JavaScript and DOM Scripting book.
