Hello All,

In my code at the mouse down event, i am invoking the a4j:support and doing some logic in the backing bean, and re-rendering the 'Rich-Menu Item'.

But i need to pass f:param items to the Rich:menu for some validation when someone clicking on the rich:menu item after re-rendering from a4j:support.

So the difficulty is- How to achieve this? how to pass f:param items to the rich:menu item, by re-rendering from the a4j:support?

Before passing parameters from a View to a Model, the first question should always be "Why do I want parameters in my View?"

The reason that most JSF elements don't support parameters is because they get their parameters internally. From the Model.

A View is not the place to put logic or data. Not only does it violate the MVC Separation of Concerns, it's a potential security problem.

Hi thanks for the reply!! We've achieved the above said requirement by creating the dynamic context menu from the managed bean. And it's working like a charm!

Anyone come across this question and want the solution, please reply back, and i am glad to help them !!
