Tiles like definitions.xml in facelets

Is it possible to create a faceletsdef.xml and make jsf controller to read the path from the definitios file to load corresponding xhtml(composition).

If you're attempting to re-create Apache Tiles in JSF using Facelets, I'm happy to say that things don't work that way.

I've always hated Tiles. Too much work and too much maintenance. Facelets provides a much cleaner way of tiling pages. And simpler. It doesn't require a tile configuration file, just page layouts and page definitions that reference those layouts. It's as simple as defining pages like so:

Hi, Thank you for the reply. I agree with your point "Facelets provides a much cleaner way of tiling pages" . So, I have stopped thinking about creating xml definitions. Started using facelets composition and templates.
