I have a xml file that is sent to me in from excel. I am having trouble reading all the data in some of the elements.

this is an example of a element that i cant read fully.

my result is just "Group" The "DEFAULT_USERS" does not show in my output.

here is my code.

from what i read on the function characters is that it may not send back the whole string, it may break it up in chunks. and to get all the data you need to call characters multiple times to get it all. So if that is true how do you do that?

You probably want to set "bfname = false;" in the endElement method and not in the characters method. The characters method may be called more than once for all the content inside the <Data> tags.

That was it, thanks. It now shows "Group "DEFAULT_USERS""

as:

which is fine, at least i can work with that.

Thanks for the quick response.
