A good direction may be to improve your communication skills. This would surely help in interviews and written communications. I suggest a few English writing courses and maybe a verbal communications course. An additonal step would be to actively work on improving your writing skills by using all opportunities available, including Internet forum postings. Focus on correct sentence structure, capitalization, grammar, etc.

Pick a mainstream programming language and learn the fundamentals and do lots of coding. If you are motivated you can self study with good books and online resources.

Hoep it’s not to late to welcome you to the ranch

Find some project to write; go to the “beginning Java” forum or “Java in General” and search the titles, because lots of people ask about what project to do. You put your project on your CV/resumé.

I suggest you to first improve your communication skill. There are many courses but "CDAC"course is better for getting software job. At the time of interview the personality development is necessary so improve your personality.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
