Hi,
We have logging and exception handling mechanism which basically uses Database to store logs and exceptions. Many times, DB space gets full and older logs need to be deleted. Can NOSQL databases like MongoDB/Cassandra be used for storing logs/exceptions? i know question is very vague and depends on many factors.
Is there anybody who has seen migrating from RDBMS to NoSQL DB in production ?

It's unlikely that some other DB will need significantly less space for that data than whatever you're currently using. Switching DBs instead of buying a larger hard disk (or archiving old stuff regularly) seems a curious choice.

Thanks. Other point is JMS Queues are used before log data goes to DB. Manytimes, large number of messages lie on queue as a result processing happens very slow. So logs become available after 4/5 Hrs! Processing of logs/exceptions need to be fast and ofcourse searching of logs.

Sounds like a problem with the message queue, or the server that handles it.

There is no problem with queue/JMS server. Its just total number of messages in large numbers. and JMS queue receivers who put the data in DB are limited so processing takes time.
