Values inserted but not showing up in MS Access table

Hi,
I have a code that runs perfect, but the inserted values does not show up in ms access database table.
I connected to the ms access database -- > connection done.
Then i executed the query - - > query executed successfully done.
But the inserted data is not been shown up. Please help. I have been trying this for long.

Here is my simple code.

public class DatabaseConnection {

    public static Connection con;

    public static Connection getDatabaseConnection() {

        try {
            Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
            con = DriverManager.getConnection("Jdbc:odbc:testdsn");

            con.createStatement().executeUpdate("insert into testtb(username) values('jas')");
           

        } catch (Exception e) {

            System.out.println("Exception in database connection" + e);
        }

        return con;

    }

    public static void main(String[] args) {

        DatabaseConnection.getDatabaseConnection();
    }
}

I think you'll find that if you commit the change, or close the connection, or in general do something to tell MS Access that you're finished making the change, you will see the change show up in the database.

Thanks Paul .. It worked . .I had to commit and close the connection .
