Hi,
In jboss-logging.xml property periodic-rotating-file-handler in which we have suffix=".yyyy-MM-dd"> <!-- To roll over at the top of each hour, use ".yyyy-MM-dd-HH" instead -->.
By using ".yyyy-MM-dd-HH" we can get log file rotation per hour. I want to configure it per 5 hours. How can I get this done.

Please help. Thanks in advance!!!

Regards.

Under this default wildfly log file rotation job I want a tar file (tar.gz) to be created instead of a direct file. since the rotated file is eating too much memory. daily a file is creating with more than 1gb space.

Please help me what to be added in the configuration for creating a new tar file daily.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
