Hello everyone ,

I do not know if this is the best place to post this , but here it goes:

- with facebook you can put some code to you web page and if a user is already logged on to facebook and opens your site , he can log in to your site without entering username and password again. This is due to facebook authentification API.

I want to do the same with yahoo (yahoo mail , yahoo messenger , yahoo 360 if it is still running). Naming when a person that is signed in on yahoo messenger on his computer eneter my site , he can click login with yahoo messenger (or not even click , maybe automatically ?) and the yahoo people give me his name/details/email/whateever and when my site opens in the browser the person is already logged in.

I have searched the net , it only comes up with the OpenID stuff , that is a bad idea (no tutorials on how to actually use OpenID api to log in to your site , no examples , no nothing plus people are afraid of having a single account for everything on the internet- conspiracy theory).

Does yahoo (mail, messenger) offer an API/way similar to facebook for people to login to a site ?

Where can I find information , and how do I do that , please help.
