I have two systems:

1. jboss 5.1

2. Active MQ on remote system(windows)

Does the jboss capable of lookup onto the MQ and listen to messages?

thanks, ray.

hmm, I do not think it's possible to look it up within jboss however you can try looking it up separately creating an InitialContext with activeMQ properties. e.g.

Properties p = new Properties();
p.put("different active mq properties");
InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(p);
// jndi name of queue
Queue que = (Queue) ctx.lookup("queue/sampleDestinationQ");
QueueConnectionFactory factory = (QueueConnectionFactory) ctx
.lookup("ConnectionFactory");
blah blah....
