Are both validator and tiles framework used often by industry? Do you personally use them? Do you think one or both of them is must know to go with struts?

Seems like validator should be good to learn...

I consider the validator to be one of Struts' core features, so that's a must-know.

I have worked on a handful of Struts projects and all have used Tiles and the Validator framework. Personally, I am not sure if prefer using the Validator framework or just implementing the validate method in the form.
