Hi,

Recently i switched to a new tomcat version. i found that when i start up with the tomcat in terminal with command - [i have my web app deployed in it.]

sh startup.sh

all the console gets printed in the terminal -

i want to stop all this printing..

my previous tomcat started and didn't show any output at terminal, is there any setting to close this ? printing on console.?

It all depends on which Tomcat bundle you installed, which depends somewhat on what OS you're running Tomcat under.

Tomcat routes its primary server log to stdout. Many Tomcats redirect this stream to TOMCAT_HOME/logs/catalina.out. You can redirect stdout yourself, however, using the same mechanism that any Unix-style command would.
