incrementing view count and update it into database on clicking a link

in my project i have a several links of videos,how should i increment and update the no of views field in the database on clicking the link.
can that be done using jsp???or should i use beans ???please reply i am finding it very difficult

While your question is completely different from this one, the answer is the same. JSP's role stops when the page is displayed in the browser.

In your case, using JavaScript and Ajax is probably to best way to go.
