May be this is the very basic question. I could not realy come out with the exact difference between Eclipse Link & Oracle Top Link.

I read some where that Oracle Top Link now called as Eclipse Link. but both has latest relases till now. ?

Can any body please explain the difference ? and How to go if I have to choose Oracle Top Link. I have downloaded the jars from oracle site but. that donwload do not have the some required jars ?

See,

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Java_Persistence/TopLink

Oracle TopLink is a product from Oracle that bundles EclipseLink and provides Oracle licensing and technical support.
Oracle TopLink also includes some extensions to EclipseLink for integration with Oracle Coherence for distributed caching.

Basically, Oracle TopLink was open sourced as EclipseLink, but is still provided as a licensed and supported product (similar to most other open sources projects that offer commercial support).

The Oracle TopLink download should include the eclipselink jars.
