Hi All,

Cleared Oracle Certified Expert, Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 Enterprise JavaBeans Developer today, but just BARELY.
Scored a measly 73%

However, must give a big thanks to all users on this wonderful forum(specifically the EJB and SCBCD/OCPJBCD forums).

Just as an FYI!! Just to record the preparation pattern that I used.

1. I started with, Head First EJB. Even though this book covers EJB2.0, it is good to build a conceptualized vision of the EJB framework.
2. Moved on to Enterprise JavaBeansJB 3.1 O'Reily (Rubinger and Burke). This book should be used as the main substance for your preparation.
It introduces the EJB3.1 framework well and the examples at the end of this book
(can also be downloaded from O'Reily EJB3.1 code)
are CRITICAL for having a well rounded view of the various features of the API.
3. Nothing can be said about the next piece of reference. It is the ABSOLUTE BIBLE(has to be, there is and can be nothing else )
for any kind of reference for the EJB 3.1 framework.
I am of course referring to the EJB 3.1 specification.EJB 3.1 specs

To score well,(and I regret not doing justice to this part.)
There are no shortcuts to this part. All possible combinations of Annotations/Deployment Descriptor/Both must be experimented with.

2. All possible deploy time and runtime confgurations MUST be explored by writing, deploying, running.

3. Security, Interceptors, Asynchronous, Timers HAVE to be explored ONLY by programming.

Goes without saying the rest need to be practiced well too.

Wishing The Best to All!!
