Hi,
I have to take a plain login.jsp (with a UI/PW and submit button). I need to add a drop down list to the form.

The login.jsp will be used to authenticate against an eDirectory/LDAP/Active directory - but to do this, the list of available directories needs to be derived on the fly. The management does not want me to use a XML file or any file (which I also do not know how to do).
So the task is to get the list of directories by using an API given to me.
Once I get the list of directories, I am to send the UI/PW/directory in the form submit event to authenticate against the directory selected by the user from the drop down.

You can look at this as a 2 piece puzzle.. First the reading of the directories using the API, followed by populating the dropdown with the directories for the users to select from, followed by authentication against the directory selected by the user. If success, then no other action taken.

This is urgent and I have no skills in this.. not sure if this is to be struts, JSP, AJAX, javascript. I literally need baby steps/steps for dummies.

Any help wold be helpful.

Hey GUYS...
