I am glad that I have cleared part 1 of OCMJEA yesterday.
Thanks to javaranch members. Inputs of who have cleared the exam already and posted
their experience really helped me. My score was 62%. Bit lower for the effort I have put but
happy with the score since it is the toughest exam when I compared my previous SCJP and SCWCD certification.
Some questions were lengthy and tough and I didn't manage time very well.
Whoever is planning to go for certification spend time and understand the concepts well
rather than code level details. I have bought whizlab and epractize lab exam simulator.
Both of them helped me.
Apart from this Java EE 5 sun's material, Design Pattern(HeadFirst), EJB 3.0, Sun certified Mark cade 2nd edition etc. helped me.
All the very best for whoever is preparing for the exam. Good luck.

congrats Akila
i am also preparing for SCEA part 1.
please let me know how many questions you got from design patterns, and out of that how many were from gang of 4 and how many were from core j2ee patterns?
how was the difficulty level of questions compared to sample questions in Mark Cade at end of each chapter?
how would you rate the mock exams you used?

good luck with next parts
