Comparing issue in JSP

I am trying to use the <c_rt:if test=arg>.

Where arg value, I'm trying to shove a <bean:write> tag in there. Is this in any way possible? If not, how do you get around something like this.

Is <bean:write> a Struts tag?
If so, why are you mixing Struts and JSTL?
Why not use the Struts logic tags?

Ben, thanks for pointing to the right direction. I was able to use the <logic:equal> to alleviate.
