Since release RC2, JForum has a moderation panel, where forum moderators can move, delete, lock and unlock topics with a single mouse click. To access the moderation panel and its options, the user must have the right permissions, which can be given at the administration panel, either on "Group" and "User" sections, link "Permissions".

Here is a brief description of how moderation panel works:

 Click on "Open Moderation Options", placed at topic's listing page.
 The page will reload and at the most right side will be created one checkbox for each available topic
 Check the topics you want to perform the action on
 Go to the end of page and click on the correspondent action button.
 If you clicked on "Move" button, you will be redirected to a page asking you to selected the destination forum to move the previous selected topics. Select the one you want and click "Move"
 For "Delete" action, the system asks your confirmation before proceding.
 For "Lock" and "Unlock" actions, they're done when you click the button.
 To close the moderation panel, just click on "Close Moderation Options"

After I moved a Thread from forum A (under category X) to forum B (under category Y) the following errors were found:

1. In forum A: the Last Message column displays "No messages" (Topics and Messages still show some numbers)

2. In forum B: the Last Message column displays a "date" of an older message, while the moved Thread has a newer message.

Just to note, this still not fixed in 2.1.4. Please add this fix to next release.

Hmm.. not fixed yet? hhm.. I was fixed it was working now. This problem occurs because there are some inconsistences in the database.. it's kinda hard to test it. I'll take another look.

The instructions above are about how to move a topic from forum X to forum Y :!:

How can we move a message from topic A to topic B :?:

At Moderator Panel we have the following option to Moderation:

 Can move messages between forums [Yes|No]

But... I suppose this option there isn't!

Helps?

PS: Let's suppose that Rafael thinks that this post here should be at another topic, or start a topic by itself! How should he to proceed?

Moving a single message is not currently supported - only topics (the "move messages" should be "move topics")
