MySQL Connector/J

Hi,

The question is: can I use the stable branch of MySQL Connector/J (3.0) instead of supplied with jForum (3.1 alpha)? I have the 3.0.10 jar in tomcat common/lib directory since I'm using MySQL for other programs (other servlets, I mean)?

I've just saw an announcement of jForum on http://freshmeat.net and would like to give it a try!

P.S. The string "http://freshmeat.net" would become a link in phpbb automatically, I think.

I guess you can, yes.

The automatic link creation?? hmmm, right.. I'll make a regex do to that.

Well it works in terms that it doesn't crash with Connector/J 3.10, but see the other posts in Questions forum...
