Instaling JForum outside webapps directory

Hi,

this maybe the questien outside JForum boundary.

i wanna install my app in linux.the path to save my application is

/home/users/www/JForum-RC3/

and the tomcat resides in another directory.and i cant install JForum into WEBAPPS directory.

how to configure context to achieve result?.

Point the "docBase" Context's attribute to the directory you want.

It depends on your version of Tomcat. In the newer version (e.g. 5.0 and up), you create an xml file with the name of the webapp (e.g. jforum.xml) in the <Tomcat root>/conf/Catalina/localhost directory with content like:

<Context path="/jForum" docBase="/somepath/WebRoot"
        debug="0" reloadable="true">
</Context>

The root of the jForum webapp is specified byt the docBase path.
