Toda a noite quando jforum fica inativo tenho que parar e reinicializar o servi̤o do tomcat no servidor pela manha?
O Seguinte erro ̩ reportado:

pt_BR: voce esta usando o driver do mysql que vem com o jforum, ou esta utilizando alguma versao publica, disponibilizada pelo teu provedor ou algo assim? Eh recomendavel que voce utilize o driver que vem com o jforum.
De qualquer maneira, esse eh um erro ja conhecido, e no topico apontado pelo james temos uma maneira de contornar o problema temporariamente, ate que esse problema do mysql seja resolvido.

en_US: are you using the mysql driver which comes with jforum, or are you using some shared version of your ISP or kinda? It is recommended that you use the version that comes with jforum.
Anyway, this is a known problem, and in the topic pointed by James a little trick is commented in order to fix the issue, at least until this problem with mysql is solved.

Nina, voce colocou a chamada ao metodo enableConnectionPinging() em algum lugar no codigo fonte? o local ideal seria na classe JForum.java, no metodo startDatabase(), apos a chamada a ConnectionPool.init().

Ou seja: voce deve aplicar o patch na classe ConnectionPool.java, fazer a chamada ao enableConnectionPinging() na jforum.java, recompilar a aplicacao e atualizar os .class no servidor, nao esquecendo de restar o tomcat para que as atualizacoes sejam notadas.

Outra coisa: qual versao do mysql voce esta usando? e voce esta usando o driver do mysql que vem com o jforum? ou alguma outra versao?
