Hi,

I have used RC5 and MySQL 4 to setup JForum. By default it gives no permission (add/reply topic etc.) to new user. New user can just read the topics. Admin has to save permission in Admin panel (without any change) and then only, it allow new user to post new topic or reply.

How to solve this problem ... :?:

hhmmm... really.. I forgot to set these roles to the groups to be allowed by default.

I'll update the package that is available for download. Thanks for the report.

well. to fix that will be a bit more complex than I tought, so I updated the configuration instructions in order to guide the admin through the steps.

Please see the "Setting permissions for Forums and Categories" link at https://coderanch.com/t/574339 . Is is enough for now?

Thanks,
Rafael
