Hi

The newTopic button is missing for my forums (rc5, postgres). Does anybody know how I can enable the newTopic button for a forum ?

Thanks

Marc

Hi Marc,

this was a mistake I made when releasing RC5. I added a new permission control option in the last minute named "Read-only Forums", but didn't tested it enough.

Go to the Administration Panel ( login as Admin / admin ), then go to "Groups" and then "Permissions" and just click "Save". Do this for all existing groups.

The permission name is "Read-Only Forums", and you can use it to not allow some users to post in some forums.. eg, like forums for Announcements, where only some set of users can post in.
