jforum user auth

Hi

I'd like to use JForum's user login to gate access to other non-forum web
pages. For example, I'd have a bunch of pages that are accessible only to
users belonging to a particular JForum group, or to users who have access
to a particular JForum category.

Do you have any suggestion about the best way to achieve this goal?
