Rafael,

what is the reason to set these parameters?

useNewIO=false&zeroDateTimeBehavior=convertToNull&useServerPrepStmts=false

Can these settings cause problems?

useNewIO=true&zeroDateTimeBehavior=exception&useServerPrepStmts=true

Thanks
Evgeny

These are required for mysql 4.1. They will not cause any trouble with other versions. If you are going to use mysql 4.1 or newer, I suggest you to use the default values which comes with jforum 2.1. I have experienced many problems using the configuration as you asked.
