I've been searching the forum and haven't come across this issue. I've got jF 2.1 installed with MySQL 4.1. Things seem to work fine on FireFox. On IE & Netscape; however, when anyone tries to post a message the following error appears:

An error has ocurred. For detailed stack trace, please see the page's source code.
javax.mail.Session.getDefaultInstance(Ljava/util/Properties;)Ljavax/mail/Session;

It appears to be an smtp setting. I imagine it's something basic, but can't seem to solve it. Can anyone suggest a solution??

Thanks

Looks like you're using a different version of javamail, which is imcompatible with jforum's code.

To be more specific, a New Topic can be posted... but a Reply to an existing thread throws the above error (in IE & Netscape).

Thanks
