Is there any known issues to having JForum connect to a database on another server? It's connecting to the server, I just can't login. Just curious if anyone else has encountered this or similar?
You can do that yes, just change the host (key "database.connection.string", in the database configuration file AND probably in jforum-custom.conf). Remember that the database server should be configured to accept connections from other hosts.
