Hi,

I assume that if I wish to manually insert a forum into the database, the only table that I must modify is jforum_forums with correct values of forum_id, categories_id, forum_name, and so on.

Also, I must manually add the correct permissions to jforum_role_values. Is this correct?

Are there ary other tables that must be changed if one does a manual insert of a forum?
Thanks!

Permissions are set to jforum_roles and jforum_role_values. However, if you add the forum with the servlet container running, you'll need to restart it, since I keep all forums in memory.

Is there a way to temporarily disable the in-memory caching?

In the current version no. I'm working in some refactoring that will allow that (still dont' have a release date)
