adding categories

I logged in as admin, added a category and set it under "General" group. BUt, i could not access (see) this category from my admin page. How can I update/delete this category?

I thought as an administrator, i will be able to access everything.

"Admin" is just a flag most of the time - eg, you can be the user Admin and have less access than an anonymous user.

To add permissions to other groups, simply go to Groups -> Permissions, and save it for the group(s) you want.

Yes, i have "allow all" under "restricted categories" for group "administration". That should be good enough, i guess.

Yep. However, please note that this "allow all" is valid only for existing categories (or any other resource that has this option, of course). So, if tomorow you add a new Category, you still will have to set its access rights (aka, re-save the permissions, even if only clicking the Update / Save button).
