Hi, I had a quite annoying problem.

I recently changed host for my forum. I simply copied the repertory to the new server and copied the database.

Then I changed the database parameters to the new parameters.

Yet after all, it appears that it was still using the old parmeters that got themselves into jforum-custom.conf I don't know how.

Now the previous host shut the database, and I have only a month old valid backup

Why are the database info in jforum-custom? Is it due to upgrades.
Shouldn't the database configuration in database/mysql... be the only and real place to configure things?

jforum-custom is, in my opinion, easier to work with, specially when you have to deal with the installer and custom settings.

I aggree with you that it may reveal anoying sometimes, though.
