sorry, hit wrong button too soon!

I get this error after a new installation when clicking on "Register".

I can log in just fine with the admin user.

and this is using jForum 2.1.4 and MySQL 4.0.24.

The forum DB user can connect and view tables fine in MySQL.

Are you using Linux? If so, please make sure you have the X11 libraries installed. If yo don't, take a read in this topic:

Yes, running on Linux (Gentoo).

And missing xorg-x11 install was the problem! Once I installed xOrg, everything works fine!

I already had the catalina "headless" option in ... so it was the missing libs.
