Hi,

I believe this is the best looking Java Forum I've seen. Is it also as efficient ?
This forum on your server seems to be quite slow, but maybe it is your server, not the Forum.

Has anyone ever done any performance comparison against some other BBoards like YaBB or phpBB? I mean with really many topics and users?

Another question is the "Attach Files" button. When I click on it I gett JavaScript error in the status bar, and nothing happens. Is it a bug?

best regards,

Marcin

About the javascript error you mentioned, it's a but only in the jforum version currently running (from 2 months ago, in the time of this message). I'm going to update it - the cvs version is ok.

About performance, you may have accessed jforum.net in some busy time. But anyway, there are other several applications in the same webserver, so we don't have 100% system resources.

As far as I know - and it's a lot, specially from feedback I receive - JForum is very very performatic, specially the current CVS version (incoming 2.1.5).

Of course there area always areas to improve, but JForum scales very well. And if, in your oppinion, it could be better, we're here, with your help and /feedback, to improve the code and make it even faster ;)

Thank's for the info. I might have a look at the performance improvements possibilities some time. This cashing sounds promissing.

What is the biggest installation of JForum? I mean which Site uses JForum most heavily?

Two hints:
1. When updating user profile, the "update successfull" info should be rather green, not red. I resubmitted my form few times, before I realized that everything was ok But it looks like there was an error.

2. After receiving a new private message, the icon could be flashing (animated gif), so it would be more visible.

Those are very small changes, so I might try to do them myself and than contribute to the JForum.

best regards,

Marcin

1) was done, thanks.
2) if you found an animated GIF, I put it there
