Hello,

I would like to know if jForum is compliant with guidelines of Accessibility
(W3C - WAI Guidelines WCAG 1.0) al least priority A.

Sorry for the request but for me is extremely urgent because a customer is complaining about that!

many thanx

Sara

That could be easly solved by either

1) Fixing the mail template

2) Building another template set, building it according to those rules

Yeah,

First level of compliance should be very easy to get (A). Second level (AA) would be a tad more difficult as that would imply removing tables and such.... I was doing it like that, and I can tell you it's no piece of cake if you want it to look good in explorer :?

From Jan 1st. 2006, public institutions in Spain will have to have all their public websites AA compliant, and that's why we are doing it, but I can tell you it will take longer than that

i'm sure you are right when saying "level AA is not a piece of cake."

We have a similar problem in Italy but it is not clear which level of conformance we have to achieve

I' m just triyng to choose an open forum quite simple and work on it .

Well,

If you are looking for an open forum in Java, directed towards a public usage then JForum seems to work quite nicely and I'm sure Rafael would appreciate and support an accesible interface.

I'm working on another kind of forum, more directed towards private usage, and one of the requirements was that it had to be AA compliant, so when I'm able to show the interface, soon I think, I hope you can get some ideas from there. Then it would be a matter of tweaking the JForum templates to produce AA compliant HTML. Not an easy task, but I could not find an already built forum with such an interface.

Hi,
I'm looking for latest news regarding accessibility... otherwise, could you address me to the kind of forum which you were speaking about?

thanx
