Email notification failed when the forum moderate

Hi Everyone

When a user select "Watch this topic" for a subject, Email notification failed when the forum moderate after the moderator have approve the message. When there is no moderation, the email is sent and everything works fine. Did anyone notice it before ?

Another question : is it possible for the moderator to receive email notification when there are post to moderate.

I also notice that the password recovery service (www.jforum.net) don't send email.

Ok, I registered the bug: http://www.jforum.net/jira/browse/JF-448

So far, JForum does not send email for pending moderations.

I'm seeing someting like this also (JF-448 )...

Have v2.1.14 installed, with j2sdk1.4.2_06 and postgres. Initially, "Watch" emails were not working, then seeing mention of moderator settings interferring with this, I turned that off for all categories, forums, groups, and users. And that seemed to make it work on my test.

But, turning "Is a moderator" back to "true" for an unrelated group broke the Watcher emails again, this time it seems for good.

I have SMTP set to "localhost" and authentication turned off. Other mailings work fine.

I don't see anything turn up in the logs for any of this.

All I can think of doing is re-installing and never setting up moderators for this version. Unless someone else has found a workaround.

just to report that a new install with none of the "is a moderator" settings =true did not make the watcher emails work for me.

I also set log4j to DEBUG, and nothing about emails shows for watcher emails or even private emails (which work).

When monitoring /var/spool/mqueue/, I see private mails from the forum go thru but never any watcher emails.

So, it seems these watcher emails are just not happening at the code level *for me* even when I had never touched the moderator settings.

I wonder what's going on when other jforum admins do not seem to have a problem with this (?)
