Sharing information between struts 2 variables and scriplets

Hello,

I am working on a jsp page that uses a combination of jsp scriptlets and struts 2 tags. How do I exchange values between these two types of variables. For example, between a variable defines as:

<% int gridSize ....


and one defined as

<s:set name="MaxGridSize" ....

I am not sure...I have not used Struts 2 much. With Struts 1 you could use the bean:define tag to do this. Look for a similar tag in Struts 2.
