When the date format is changed on the configuration page, the month abbreviations is still tied to the second number... For example, the default date config is DD/MM/YY, but if you change it to MM/DD/YY the the month abbv will be based off the days....

I also see a problem with the "joined" date in a post page under the user's avatar.

Here is what I see: Joined: Sep 1, 2006

But I registered on Jan 9, 2006! So the month and day are reversed. I can find the "Joined" in the template, but the date format used should be the one configured, which looks nothing like the date I see. So I am very confused about how this date it formatted.
