I saw these forums the other day and they look great with pics to the left of the forum name:

http://forum1.netgear.com/support/

Is there a way to do this with JForum??

I also like the way there are multiple overall groupings on their site:

General
Product Specific Forums
Product Applications

It almost seems like I'd need another instance running for this (if that makes sense).

You can reproduce the "overall groupings" with categories.

Well, forum pictures does not require too much code changes.. it's just a matter of coding it.

Yes but I want to put something like city specific forums on my site ... categories would only work if I could nest them.

I like the way the big blue headline separates things so well on the Netgear page. Rafael is shaking his head thinking .... "not enough time".

Well, somethings you can accomplish easily, like the "big blue separators", since all you have to do is some minor chages do forum_list.htm

Yup ... you're right. I've modified the templates some for the email/password fields we talked about before.

Categories should do for now.
