Hi,

After installing JForum 2.1.5 using oracle 10g the test forum is not there. After manually adding the forum I am unable to make a post. I get the following error message:

An error has occurred.

For detailed error information, please see the HTML source code, and contact the forum Administrator.

oracle.sql.BLOB

And the following stacktrace is given:

1.4? Ok, I guess you mean, ojdbc14.jar.

If you are using Tomcat, please take a look in the directory <TOMCAT_HOME>/common/lib.. see if there is any other oracle jar there.

It looks like a conflict.

OK, I deleted the ojdbc14.jar file from jforum\WEB-INF\lib and now it works! Thanks! Any idea why the test forum is not created when the forum is installed using oracle?

Thanks so much,

Alan

Because there isn't any procedure to create it ;).

Post text data is written into a blob field, and as it is not possible to easily insert data into it from a .sql script, I left it from the installer.

Maybe in some future release...
