I noticed there is no build.xml ant file in the source. What is the recommended way to compile this thing? If there is no ant script, I would be happy to write one if the project would like to have it.

Second question, what's the best way to modify the appearance of pages? I notice that it uses some kind of page generation thing that looks like JSP but isn't quite the same as JSP. I guess I just start editing these pages?

There is a build.xml in the cvs.

We use freemarker as template engine. Check it out at http://freemarker.sf.net

Thanks for the info on that. Freemarker looks cool. I am familiar with JSP / JSTL and it's a great system. Freemarket is not that different but maybe a little better.

As for the build.xml I'll be looking for it. I love that this whole thing is written in clear Java code so I can go crazy on it.
